Samsung integrates Ayushman Bharat health records with Health app

Samsung has announced that its Samsung Health app will now include the Health Records feature so users can manage their health information better. They can also create and access their Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) directly within the app.

The feature allows users to consolidate their medical data from across different healthcare providers in India as under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) project whose goal is to digitise and streamline healthcare access globally.

Users must register using their Aadhar or mobile phone numbers to view their medical history, prescriptions, lab results and hospital visit details. They can scan QR codes through the app to get virtual queue tokens and potentially reduce wait time at clinics and hospitals that are ABDM-compliant.

The app has health monitoring features and services including sleep monitoring, medication management, mindfulness programs and irregular heartbeat alerts.

The new Health Records feature has been made available in India once users update their Samsung Helath app on the Samsung Galaxy Store and Google Play Store.
