Google has said that they will be rolling out the first public beta version of the Android 16 developer by January-end and the stable release coming out by May 2025. A new report by Android Authority has stated that the first beta build will roll out this month while the second beta update will roll out in February and the third one in March.
The outlet spotted a comment on the repository Android Gerrit where a Google employee revealed that Android 16 Beta 3 will roll out on March 12.
This also means that Google will mostly release Android 16 at their next I/O developer conference which is likely to be held in May.
The second developer preview of Android 16 was just recently released for select Pixel smartphones and the first public beta is expected to be available for companies including OnePlus, OPPO, Vivo, Xiaomi and others.
Codenamed Baklava, earlier reports have shared that Android 16 is expected to have features like an embedded photo picker, health records feature, enhanced security and better adaptive refresh rate (ARR).
